And yes, now Mr. Tata won’t be here to make us see him fly. This is something beyond expectations, the man, the gem, we admire till date is not physically present with us now. It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Mr. Ratan Tata at the age of 86. His incredible contributions to the Tata Group and India have left a lasting impact. As we remember his life, we celebrate a leader whose vision and kindness changed industries and touched many lives.

Ratan Tata was born in 1937 in Mumbai. He grew up in a family known for its business and charitable work. Later on, he studied at Cornell University and Harvard Business School, gaining the knowledge and skills that would shape his future. He started his career with the Tata Group in 1961 at Tata Steel, where he worked on the shop floor, learning the business from the ground up.

In 1991, Ratan Tata became the Chairman of Tata Sons, leading the group into a new era. His leadership was marked by bold decisions and a forward-thinking approach that took the Tata Group to new heights.

Under Ratan Tata’s leadership, the Tata Group transformed significantly. He led the acquisition of famous brands like Jaguar Land Rover and Tetley Tea, expanding the group’s global presence. Moreover, his vision went beyond business; he was deeply committed to social causes, directing significant resources to education, healthcare, and rural development through the Tata Trusts.

One of his most notable achievements was the launch of the Tata Nano, an affordable car designed to make vehicle ownership possible for millions of Indians. This project showed his innovative spirit and dedication to improving the lives of ordinary people.
