U matic (1969)

U matic is an analogue recording video cassette first shown by Sony in 1969. It was among the first video formats to contain video tape inside a cassette. (half-inch size)

Betacam (1982)

Betacam is a family of half-inch professional videocassette products developed by Sony in 1982.

Mini DV (1995)

DV is a format for storing digital video. It was launched in 1995. Mini DV cassette are used for recording baseline DV, DVCAM, and HDV. A Mini DV cassette (DVC) can hold 11 GB of data on a tape 65 years long. It’s used for digital video recording, not analogue and the word ‘mini’ refers to the smaller tape size used by the device.

Blue Ray (2006)

Blue Ray Blue- ray disc digital optical disc data storage format designed to display high definition, ultra HD video and storage large amounts of data. Released in 2006.
